Apple iPad

Apple iPad Launch 28 may 2010

This long awaited product is due on Friday 28th May.

Much has been discussed reagrding the iPad and its' reason for being has been hailed in the 'Advocate camp' as the best thing since the iPhone. However, in the 'Opposing Camp' it has been slated as a total waste of time and a product that does not have a place in the market.

We believe it is a fantastic product and the main feature from our point of view is that it will allow a much better mobile web browsing experience. There are some areas which may upset a few, namely the fact that Flash still is not supported. So if your website relies heavily on Flash as part of it's overall design then maybe now is the time to consider designing this out. There are other methods of making images fade in and out or slide around. If you need to use important areas of your site to do more than one job such as advertising more than one product or business then developments in Java are the answer.

  • The apps store for the iPad provides over 150,000 applications that can be installed and run on the iPad.
  • The design means it is easy to transport, no more bulky laptops bags, one of the best touch screens on the market means clear viewing and easy data entry.
  • You can wait a little longer for the 3G versions but wi-fi areas will let you do most things whilst enjoying a coffee and for free!
  • Check out the iPad at the Apple Website here
