Everyone is using Twitter from celebrities to MPs but what does it mean for your business? Where do you begin and how do you use them strategically to make more money?
 

Why Use Twitter?
The main simple reason to use Twitter is to drive more visitors to your website, and then have the right sales message and options which help you convert the vistor on your website into becoming a customer.  At the end of the day, your website still has to have the correct page content, sales message and be easy to navigate to convert this lead.  If you hide your phone number just on the 'contact us page', don't expect to be called.

Next, login to your Twitter account and create a new tweet, remembering to use the short URL at the end to take people back to your website to read more.

We would recommend that you 'tease' people by wording the tweet so that they want to find out more, don't give away the whole story within the tweet.

This benefits you by gaining more visitors to your site. The visitor will also then be surrounded by your website navigation so they can be tempted to look at other areas and, if your sales message is right, you could be looking forward to having a new customer on the books.

The same is true for other social networking sites, never give the whole story away on Facebook for example, otherwise why would people want to visit your main website and look at the services and products you offer?
